Creating an Account on Distinction

Get started on Distinction in just 8 simple steps


Step 1: Visit the Distinction Website


Open your preferred mobile browser and type: 👉 distinction.app

NotesYou should land directly on the Distinction homepage. If your search engine shows multiple results, tap the official link that matches our site.

Step 2: Click “Get Started for Free”

On the homepage, tap the Get Started for Free button.

Step 3: Enter Your Details


  1. Fill in your first and last name, email address and phone number.
  2. Create a password (min. 8 characters) and confirm it. Add a referral code if you have one.
  3. Complete the reCAPTCHA.

Use a valid email address. You can also sign up with Google.

  1. Tap Create my account.


Step 4: Verify Your Email

To complete your registration, you’ll need to verify your email address.


NotesCheck your email inbox for a verification mail from Distinction. If it’s not in your inbox, check your Spam or Junk folder.
Click the “Activate Account” button in the email. This will redirect you back to the platform with a success message confirming your account has been activated.

Step 5: Log in
Click 'Log in' button.



Enter your registered email and password.

Tap 'Login my account'

Step 6: Select Your User Type
  1. Choose Student, Lecturer, or Professional.
  2. Tap Continue.

Step 7: Choose Your Institution
  1. Select your institution from the list and tap Submit.
  2. You can also skip this step if you prefer.

Step 8: Explore Your Dashboard
You’re in! 🎉
